At the top of Satithes bank, stands the Staithes War Memorial. A strong reminder of those lost in The Great War.
However, the Memorial not only contains the names of the soldiers and sailors from the First World War, together with a woman munitions worker, but soldiers, airmen, and a large number of sailors from the Second World War.
